2009 Season News
ECJVC is proud to announce that 3 players from the EC 17's team have verbally committed to play at the collegiate level in 2010!! Kaitlyn Anderson to UNC-Chapel Hill, Emily Neideffer to College of Charleston, and Pammy Craigle to Savannah College of Art & Design!!! Congratulations Girls!! Check out our Alumni list of former ECJVC girls who went on to play in college.
Congratulations to the ECJVC 17s and 14-1s for their strong showing in the Mid-Atlantic Power League Championships! The 17s team took 2nd Place in the Gold Division, going 7-2 for the weekend. The 14-1s placed 9th overall, making it to the quarter finals of the Silver Division.
The ECJVC EC 17's took 2nd Place in the Silver Bracket of the Northeast Qualifier in Baltimore, April 17-19th, coming in 14th of 48 teams.
CONGRATS! to the East Carolina JVC teams for a great showing in Atlanta! The EC 17's won 2nd place in the Open Division, earning a bid to the JO Nationals in Miami this summer.They also received some national attention on PrepVolleyball.com! Follow along (and join in) their fund raising efforts to help with travel expenses. The EC 14-2's made it to the quarter-finals of the silver division at Big South, while the 14-1's made it to the quarter-finals in bronze!! All EC girls played hard and showed great enthusiasm! Good job!!
Special recognition goes to the 14-2's and 14-1's teams for their fund raising efforts for the Dig Pink, Side-Out Organization's efforts to raise money for breast cancer research!! Both teams deserve a pat on the back for their tremendous efforts and dedication to this worthwhile cause! Congratulations to ECJVC 16's player Kirsten Burt for being named to the 16 and under All Tournament Team, during the USA-V Carolina Region Championships, March 21 at Elon University. The EC 16's took 3rd in the championship's gold division.
Two ECJVC teams earned first place wins at a Mid-Atlantic Power League volleyball tournament held in Raleigh, March 14-15. The ECJVC 17 team won first place in the 16-18’s Gold Division, while the 14-1 team took first place in the 14-15’s Bronze Division.
The EC 17's took 3rd Place out of 36 teams playing in the Mid-Atlantic Power League Tournament in Richmond, VA, Feb. 28 - March 1. Congratulations also to the EC 16's on a 3rd Place win at the February 28th Carolina Region Tournament in Oxford!
ECJVC 13's captured 2nd place at the February 21st Carolina Region Tournament held at Barber Park in Greensboro. EC 12's took 3rd Place at their Region Tournament at Webb High School in Oxford on February 21st! Great job girls!!!
Congratulations to the ECJVC 16 team who won 1st Place in their Carolina Region Tournament, February 14th, at the Greensboro Sportsplex.

ECJVC made a strong showing at the 1st Mid-Atlantic Power League Tournament of the season. EC 17's took 3rd place at the Jan. 31-Feb 1 tournament in Chantilly, VA.
Congratulations to all East Carolina JVC teams for the outstanding showing at the Monument City Classic in Richmond, VA, January 17-19. The EC 17's team (shown above, top) captured first in the 17 Open Division, while EC 16's (shown above bottom) took 3rd place in 16 Club! The EC 13's and EC 14-2's took 8th and 9th respectively in the 14 Club Division. The EC 14-1's finished 14th in the Open Division. The EC 12's took 3rd!!
East Carolina JVC 12's, 14-1's and 14-2's teams jumped into action January 10th! Each of the teams made it through pool play to the semi-finals! Congrats to all for their 3rd place finishes!
Congratulations to East Carolina JVC 17's on their win in the first Region Tournament of 2009. EC 17's played Triangle 17 Black in the finals, winning it in two at Greensboro College! Congrats also to the ECJVC 16's on their strong effort in their Region Tournament January 3rd. The 16's tied for 3rd at the Sportsplex. Good luck to the rest of the EC teams as they move into Region play next weekend!
